Fun fact: when people imagine space, they usually think about stars, galaxies, planets, and colorful nebulae. But the overwhelming majority of the universe is... almost nothing. The distance between stars is so enormous that even light, traveling at nearly 300,000 kilometers per second, takes years to cross it. If the Sun were reduced to the size of a grain of sand, Earth would be a tiny speck about a meter away, while the nearest star would still be hundreds of kilometers distant. Entire galaxies, each containing hundreds of billions of stars, are themselves separated by millions of light-years of nearly empty space. Even inside atoms, most of what appears to be solid matter is actually empty. If the nucleus of an atom were the size of a marble, the electrons would orbit hundreds of meters away, leaving almost everything in between as empty space. Ironically, the universe appears full because gravity slowly gathers tiny amounts of matter into spectacular structures, but on the largest scales, emptiness dominates almost everything that exists.🌌

Bills to pay, kids to raise, a house to run… and me just here vibing like I’ve got absolutely no responsibilities 💀🤣

We started using visuals with Sophia when she was around 2, and almost a year later, we’re still using them!

Toddlers are still learning how to remember multiple steps, follow instructions, and understand what’s coming next. Visuals make all of that a little easier by giving them something they can actually see and refer back to.

Instead of constantly reminding Sophia what to do next, she can look at her pictures and figure it out herself.

Of course, it didn’t happen overnight! At first, we went through every step together, and little by little, she started doing more on her own.

And that’s something I always want to emphasize. Independence isn’t about expecting toddlers to do everything themselves. It’s about giving them the right tools, opportunities, and support to learn.

Comment VISUALS and I’ll send you the link to our printable with 45 pictures you can use to create your own routines and all the accessories ❤️

Naaah, my country is actually blessed with the best. And the fact that there’s still so much left for me to discover? Even better.

Tanzania, you will always be that girl! 🇹🇿
