Chester & Obi

hi everyone, we’re baaaaack! But this time, with asthma! 🐈‍⬛🫁

Chester was having very frequent asthma-like symptoms so we visited CLT Vets where they evaluated him, listen to me, & took x-rays. His x-rays, plus symptoms, showed patterns consistent with asthma so we immediately got him medicated.

The meds are like night & day!! We started on March 18th at 7:30 AM

We have his follow-up appointment soon, so we will discuss long term avenues which will likely consist of some form of daily medication. Of course, we will keep this page updated as we explore this unexpected journey together and help all of the other asthmatic kitties!!!

I use Nationwide for pet insurance & I cannot advocate for it enough. I’m waiting for finalization, but I should see a chunk of his shown vet bill back. When deciding if you can financially afford a pet, please consider worst case scenarios & sign up for pet insurance BEFORE your pet is diagnosed. Your pets health is just as important as yours (Chester goes more than me actually lol)

Current Meds:
- 5 days every 12 hours of Prednisolone ✅
- 5 days every 24 hours of Prednisolone
- 5 days every 24 hours of Azithromycin ✅
- 3 days every 72 hours for 3 doses of Azithromycin
