Ahead of its time.

NARCh Players was a roller hockey magazine.  Coffee Table Quality Publication that showed the sport in an amazing professional light.
If you have some editions, you know this well.

Fast forward to declining sponsorship, and social media taking over the landscape of everyone’s  attention span and desire for the instant gratification.  It’s certainly not the only print publication that died.  But in our minds, it’s the saddest.

This photo was of a phenom that happened to be a female.  She dominated the boys.  Photo was taken by @rossdettman_creative and it appears that she’s about to do the Michigan Move, but I’m not exactly sure if it worked out or not.

25 years ago, nuts.
I don’t want to spoil, but her initials were A.M.
We would love to hear you chime in about the magazine, or the player, or whatever from back in the day.

Things are good now, but they were Epic then too.  What a run we’ve had!

I remember playing in the Narch Finals in Vancouver and Atlanta back in the day, also participating in the skills competitions were the best!

That’s the era I was playing in! My team placed 4th in the 2001 Canadian national tournament. Really fun times!

Those mags were so legit. Still have some copies. Antoinette was tough. Boys were scared of her.

Still kept mine. You ever think of a quarter century Catalog? Date it back from 2000-2025? I bet that might make some noise on a few tables as you walk into the arena come tourney time. I know things like this are a thing of the past, but I saw a Bowl cut the other day so things do come back around and anything’s possible 😂

I still have all of these magazines that were published. Many great player features in them. My favorite one was the oversized one with the bear on the cover.
