One month since I quit Taekwon-Do. I thought I’d be itching to train by now. Honestly, I’m still tired. I stepped away because the environment had stopped feeling safe for me, mentally and physically. I was burnt out, and I needed space to work out what my relationship with Taekwon-Do and the Taekwon-Do community could look like again. I’ve slept a lot. The stress and ostracism is still there, and I haven’t found the energy or desire to return to my own training yet. After nearly 30 years, that feels strange. But alongside that, I’ve enjoyed having spare time again. Reading, being creative, exploring ideas and spending time with people without always being the person organising everything. And I’ve realised how much my WMA community has my back. When you’re used to being the coach and supporting everyone else, receiving that support yourself means a great deal. I’m still struggling with some of it. I’m also enjoying parts of life I hadn’t made enough room for. There’s no return date to announce. For now, I’m grateful for that room—and for the people helping me feel more like myself.
Angel Reese says the Atlanta Dream will be back. The Dream lost Game 7 of the WNBA Finals to the Golden State Valkyries 68 to 63 after leading by nine at halftime. After the game, Reese got emotional talking about her teammates. “They changed my life, and I’m so grateful for them,” she said. “It is tough in the moment, but we’ll be back. And I always say, ‘Delayed, not denied.’”
Ad I think the weather has turned with the new month. It's definitely time to increase the cosy layers. So what about these maroon coloured jeans from @saintandsofia ? I've worn them with the Ariella jumper in brown and berry stripe, Billie snake embossed boots and Rylee bag, all Saint+Sofia. I was going with a white shirt, but I thought this green one added something a bit extra. The jacket is old, but I've found a very similar one, so if you'd link the links, just ask below. Happy November, 8 weeks til Christmas! 😂 #saintandsofia #november #over50style #jeansoutfit
