I am going to say, for the sake of honesty, that bringing a terrible two-ing toddler to a culture that deeply values quiet and personal space was maybe the meanest thing we have ever done to ourselves.
We are having so much fun, and Japan is beautiful, i just want to be real that it's been a challenge too!

Literally the whole time we were there, I was grateful that I picked a different trip for my spicier kid. He is amazing at certain trips, but I don't think Japan is in his cards right now. So, ya know, solidarity
