CHPWS Plate issues AGAIN!

CHPWS plate issues are becoming a common occurrence, after the 15,000 round or greater mark. This time around the footer insert separated with the screw. Resultant from this issue, I experienced significant zero changes prompting a closer inspection. This occurred somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 rounds. Almost all ammo fired was duty (+P 9mm).

I have about a dozen CHPWS plates. Overall, my experience has been good and their customer service has always been responsive and replaced anything I have broken. Eventually everything will break in time and context matters. A plate’s hardware going 15,000 rounds of duty is no easy feat. I traditionally break Glock guide rods at 10,000 rounds and slide stops at 12,000 to 15,000 rounds. Glock recommends replacing these items at 5,000. I think CHPWS makes decent plates but there are limitations to those plates. Take that into account when choosing your plate of choice and doing periodic maintenance and replacement of parts at the manufactures recommended service schedule.
