2 years agoThis town’s rich history has made it one of the most “European autumn-feel” destinations in Australia, and a top spot for autumn road trips! Although it’s a bit of a drive from Melbourne, it’s definitely worth spending three days here! On this trip, we stayed at BIG4 Tasman Holiday Parks — it’s actually my third time camping there! One of the best things about this campground is that you can choose a site with a private bathroom if you’d rather not use the shared facilities. And if camping isn’t your thing, they also have cozy cabins available! Right across the road is a great photo spot — just search for Alpine Shire Council - Bright Customer Service Centre on your map! Bright Autumn Leaf Spotting Map: 🍁 Delany Avenue: The most iconic autumn street in town — a straight road lined with towering maple trees, giving off serious European vibes. 🍁 Bright Arboretum: Home to over a hundred species of deciduous trees — a hidden gem for photography lovers. 🍁 Ovens River Trail: The riverside is full of colors, especially magical in the morning mist. 🍁 Gavan Street (Main Street): Lined with maples, oaks, and ash trees — by late April, the whole town turns into a fairytale in red, orange, and gold. 🍁 Centenary Park: A peaceful riverside walk with plenty of benches and picnic spots — perfect for capturing autumn reflections. 🍁 Howitt Park (Canyon Walk): This is where we filmed the last clip — rows of tall poplar trees make it feel like you’re walking through a dream!
