Bright With Kids - Where to Stay, Eat, Play & Places to Explore If you are looking for a family destination that has a lot to offer then look no further than Bright in the Victorian High Country. This quaint little town has so much to offer for families with kids of all ages. From biking, fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking and everything in between. We've explored Bright for 7 days and it wasn't nearly enough time to explore it all. Here are our recommendations for Bright: 🏕Where to stay: Riverview Caravan Park - Porepunkah, only 6km from Bright and budget friendly. However, there are dozens of caravan parks and holiday parks to choose from. Most of them will have a playground, splash park or both. 🥨Where to eat: The Star Hotel Bright - we recommend the fish & chips - absolutely delicious. There is colouring in sheets and pencils for kids. After completing their “art work" they are allowed to stick it on the wall afterwards. Beechworth Bakery The Bright Ice Creamery Bright Brewery - we loved their beer garden overlooking the Ovens River HV Kitchen - Harrietville The General - Hotham Heights ⚽️Where to play: Bright Splash Park On our last day in Bright, Matt fished the Ovens River, while the boys and I spent the day along the river and splash park. 📍Places to explore: Beechworth Harrietville Mount Hotham & Hotham Heights Mount Buffalo National Park 🥾What to do: Hiking: Eurobin Falls, Cathedral and Hump Track, The Horn Lookout, Derrick Hut Fishing: Buckland River & Ovens River Biking Swimming - Buckland River and Ovens River, Ladies Bath Falls ✨️Ready for more outdoor adventures with kids? Life update: I can ride a bike now! 🍁✨ We did a 14km trail through town with gorgeous autumn leaves, had hot chocolate, and finished off at a vineyard with a stunning view.
