I’ve personally been following Sam for a while now, and I’ve always admired what he does. He finds struggling restaurants, secretly reviews their food, and shares his experience with his followers. Sometimes, all a small business needs is a little exposure, and that simple act of kindness can change everything. ❤️ Sam is usually the one making someone else’s day, so when we randomly crossed paths in Waikiki, we thought it would be pretty special to put him on the receiving end for a change. We got to take him surfing, share some laughs, and get to know the guy behind the videos. And he’s exactly the kind of guy you’d expect to be doing this kind of work. Just a genuinely good dude! Sam, you spend so much time making other people’s days. We’re grateful we got to be a small part of making yours 🤍

I miss this dude right here. Recently I dug through some old emails and texts trying to find out if he’d ever told me which documentary he was working on music for but the name wasn’t mentioned. In the emails I rediscovered some of the kindest words anybody had ever lent to me. Endlessly supportive… genuinely thoughtful. He could make you feel like you shouldn’t second guess a thing about the direction you’re headed. Honestly, after this crazy handful of months…, making one of the wildest decisions of my life, I have been second guessing myself. Can I do this? Who knows. But stumbling back into words Mark sent helped nudge me back into the flight path…. Rocky as it still may be. Thanks for leaving us all with some of the best music ever made and for leaving me with your support and friendship that I still feel. Miss you buddy.
