Why would I even think about having surgery without prepping my entire household first?! 😂 My tummy tuck journey is about to begin, and this mama is going to be OUT for at least two weeks! (Really 6 but I’m hoping I can get back to myself around 2)😩 💕 ✔️ Seasoned + prepped meat and froze it so my husband can cook without a second thought ✔️ Put my hair in a protective styles ✔️ Miracle knots on my two oldest, done by me... lost the footage lol 🙈 ✔️ Clean & prep bedding ✔️ Ordered & stocked necessities for the house & myself ✔️ and even snuck in a school trip volunteer day with the kids and spent quality time with the fam! Can’t wait to get my surgery with @drfasusi !! Okay..Anything I missed?! Moms don’t get sick days... we PREP for them 💪 If you’ve been through this, drop your surgery prep tips below👇 The full recovery vlogs will be on my YT 🎥 Leesa Unique #surgeryprep #preopchecklist #surgeryrecovery #tummytuckjourney recoveryjourney momlife
Ancient Egyptians built pyramids primarily as tombs for their pharaohs, whom they believed would continue living in the afterlife. The pyramids were designed to protect royal remains and burial goods while helping the deceased king achieve eternal life. Their enormous size also demonstrated the pharaoh’s wealth, power, and divine authority. The most famous examples, the Pyramids of Giza, were constructed roughly 4,500 years ago, with the Great Pyramid built for Pharaoh Khufu. Interestingly, pyramids were not built primarily by slaves, as commonly portrayed in movies. Archaeological evidence indicates that their construction involved thousands of organized workers, including skilled laborers and rotating crews who received food and accommodation. The Egyptians also developed impressive engineering techniques to transport and position massive stone blocks. Essentially, the pharaohs wanted an impressive final resting place and ended up creating monuments so extraordinary that humanity is still arguing about how they were built thousands of years later. Even when his own heart is heavy, he still finds the strength to smile for us. 🥹💔 Even when life is difficult for him, he continues to give us hope, love, and courage. Those eyes may be filled with tears, but his faith and strength never fade. He is our inspiration, our hope, and such a beautiful example of what it means to stay strong. 🥺🤍 Oh, Papa Leo… if only you knew how deeply you are loved. We are always here for you, just as you have always been here for us. ❤️‍🩹🙏

3.5 YEARS LATER… I FINALLY PRESSED SUBMIT! 🤩 And just like that, one of the biggest chapters of my life is coming to an end. 3.5 years of research, countless late nights, endless revisions, a LOT of coffee, moments of discovery, exciting milestones, valuable lessons, and memories that will last a lifetime. All leading up to this one little click. I have imagined this moment so many times, but now that it’s actually here, I don’t know whether to laugh, cry, celebrate or question what I’m supposed to do with my life now. 🤣 A PhD has a funny way of making you feel incredibly smart one day and questioning your entire existence the next. But somewhere between the research, publications, teaching, conferences and occasional existential crises, I grew. Not just as a researcher, but as a person. And while I’m proud of the thesis I’ve produced, I’m even prouder of the person I’ve become along the way. To my supervisors, Professors Rakesh Gupta, Selva Selvanathan, Saroja Selvanathan and Tarlok Singh, thank you for challenging me, guiding me and helping me become a better researcher. To Griffith Business School, Griffith Graduate Research School, my colleagues, students, friends and family, thank you for being part of this journey. I wouldn’t have done it without you all ❤️ And to everyone who has asked me, “So, when are you finishing your PhD?” WELL, HERE’S YOUR ANSWER! 🤣 To the younger version of myself who decided to pursue a PhD in Finance, not knowing what the next few years would hold... You did it, girl. And you should be so proud. ❤️ The examination process is still ahead, so I’m not quite Dr. yet, but I’m celebrating this moment. PhD THESIS: OFFICIALLY SUBMITTED! 🎓✨ #PhDSubmitted #PhDJourney #PhDLife #WomenInFinance
