Life moves pretty fast, so wear the dress, have that extra glass of wine and live in the moment. Because life is just too short not to!

Well, that’s been a fun week! It’s been my birthday, I’ve been to a wedding, been up and down to London, and caught up with friends.

After all that excitement though I’m very much in need of a hibernation day. The fire is going on and I plan on doing absolutely nothing today. Nothing I enjoy more than pottering around here. Especially in the prettiest dress living out all my Sense and Sensibility dreams! 😂

But who says we need an occasion to wear something beautiful?!

Anyone else guilty of saving their favourite things for best? 💚

Elephants put the ‘happy’ in reunion. This is a common sight among wild herds — they erupt into joyous trumpets and trunk hugs upon seeing a long-absent loved one.

The same happens with our orphans. When Keeper Joseph just returned from some time off, Kaikai and Bungalu were beyond elated and couldn’t contain their emotions!

—

Both Kaikai and Bungalu are orphans. Kaikai lost her mother when she was just days old, while Bungalu survived a lion attack and terrible storms.

But now, they have their whole lives ahead of them — growing up in our care, and one day thriving as wild elephants.
