For starters, I was cackling going through all our photos. Happy freaking 30th birthday, Daryl’lynn!! so glad we get to celebrate your housewarming, your wedding, and your 30th—all in the same 1.5-month whirlwind. I love you so much, pal!

(כן, האירוניה עושה חארקירי וכו׳) אז ארגנתי למוח שלי כל מה שהוא צריך כדי ליצור שגרה שמחה ומלאת אהבה והומור. וזה עובד לי. בטקס ההקרנה היומי שלי יש מסיכה שמקבעת לי את הראש כדי שההקרנה של הפוטונים למוח שלי תדייק על המיקרו מילימטר. אבל יש גם שמיכי קסמים קבועה שעוטפת אותי, ואת נ. בובת הברווז הכחולה שלי (סיפור ארוך) שמובילה אותי למקום מבטחים, את ספר התהילים שמלווה אותי צמוד ללב. את הפלייליסט שמרים אותי אחרי כל סשן הקרנה. ואת המפגש הקבוע שאחרי עם אהובות ואהובי ליבי. ליבי ומיה, שירה,אוס, גליה, הילה , פריזי וג׳וני כמובן ואיתם קפה, ים, מסעדה, חיבוק. שמש. תודה. אני בוחרת מה שעושה לי טוב, ועכשיו טוב. במלוא הצניעות - ואם יורשה לי - אני שרופה על עצמי. גאה במקסימום על הגוף הבריא שלי! הגעתי חזקה למסע בנברלנד של הסרטן. וכל המחמאות שקיבלתי בחיים על איך שאני נראית, ואיך בגילי וכו׳… מתגמדות ליד העובדה שאני מרגישה חזקה ועוצמתית. בפנים ומבחוץ. אני אוהבת את עצמי. סופסוף. יש לי עוד המון מה לומר על הטיפול התומך שאני מקבלת, על המשפחה והחברים שלי, על הצוות הכל כך אנושי באיכילוב. איזו רכות וחמלה הם מביאים למקום הכי קשוח בעולם… אז בינתיים קבלו: 1. תמונה עם בגד ים שלם מהיום (כי אמרתי שיהיו פה פחות תמונות ביקיני). 2. פאק סטטיסטיקה. אוהבת מאוד.⁩
my roman empire. this movie so warmly explores the emotional experience of love. from self love to true love, companionship and the challenges within those relationships that were sometimes navigated by tradition and proximity rather than heart and head. the yearning that is explored is such a timeless exploration of the heart, and we felt it so meaningful for this to be her closing look. Laura Mulleavy and I spent months planning this @rodarte look from her Spring 2017 collection that she has pulled from her museum collection. thank you @daisyedgarjones for bringing so many moments to life in the most magical fashion ways. you know my passion for you. @brycescarlett and @missjobaker you are glam legends - you made everything even better. @sensesensibilityfilm this was special. and bryce my heart for capturing it all. “following your heart is so empowering.” - DEJ 🤍

It’s easy to look back on history and believe we would have been the dissenters. The helpers. The ones with heroic courage. But the people living through those eras were just as tired, anxious, and conflicted as we are today. They had bills to pay, reputations to protect, and very articulate reasons to look away. Decades from now, no one will read the paragraphs we used to defend our comfort. They will simply look at the world our choices left behind. Principle over party. Courage over convenience. Every single day.
