Had a rad time at Streets of Willow with @viptrackdays! 8 sessions per group meant tons and tons of seat time! Definitely check them out if you haven’t yet - their next event is June 1st, at SOW CW!

The RX7 ran like a champ all day - no drama, no wrenches were turned and we were able to drive there, drive in circles, and back home 😅. It was a tight squeeze packing the two of us, Enzo, and all the gear - but we Tetris’d it and made it happen. Enzo refused to sit on the floor so he was snuggled on Jane’s lap the entire time 🥹. It was Enzo’s second time at SOW, but first time experiencing the unrelenting windy conditions. Thankfully we moved him in the building where he was more relaxed!

Last time I drove the RX7 on track was at Auto Club Speedway, but let’s be real, concrete walls and high speeds make it hard to commit. This time I actually got to push the car and play with the limits in a “safer” speed with less walls.

I was happy to end the day with a 1:28 on street pads and Zestino tires.
Next up is to fabricate some proper ducting for the heat exchangers, change out the steering rack bushings (which I suspect are slipping), change out the wheel bearings, and fabricate an intake pipe.
Keeping it a street car is the goal but it becomes a slippery slope when I get the taste of how capable and how good this car feels.
