“And that’s part of our trouble. Thinking things are inevitable. Not believing change is possible.”

i absolutely LOVE this book. sunrise on the reaping totally redefines everything we thought we knew about the hunger games series. it dives deep into the lore and characters, making you question everything through Katniss’s perspective. plus the connections to ballad and the og trilogy are flawless, like i swear suzanne collins had this all mapped out from the beginning.

sunrise on the reaping is darker, more emotional, and more brutal than the other games. it’s also a powerful reminder about division and control. once again, we’re reminded that the real enemy isn’t the other tributes or districts – it’s the system of lies that allows the capitol to divide and control.

if you’ve read the hunger games trilogy and the ballad of songbirds and snakes, sunrise on the reaping is an addition to the series you don’t want to miss! & if you haven’t picked up any of the hunger games books yet - now’s the time!!!!!
