In March 2024, I had the pleasure of meeting Nashville based country music duo @brothersosborne and running an intimate showcase with them a few days before they played at the O2 Arena in London.

They sounded so good during the soundcheck, that I decided (with their permission) to record the full performance. I'm so glad that I did as the band and the label (@snakefarmmusic ) have decided to release the songs as an EP for the UK & Ireland leg of their 'Might As Well Be Us' Tour 2025.

I'm so used to streaming music nowadays, that sometimes I forget how nice it feels to have something you've worked on physically in your hands.

दुबई मॉल के Apple Store से शॉपिंग करने के बाद जब एयरपोर्ट के लिए निकल रहा था, तभी मॉल की पार्किंग में पीछे से किसी ने चार-पाँच बार मेरा नाम लेकर आवाज लगाई। मैं भी सोचने लगा कि यार, इस दुबई में अपना कौन है? पीछे मुड़कर देखा तो अजीज भाई आवाज लगा रहे थे। पास गया तो बोले, “मैं आपके वीडियो देखता हूँ और मैं बस्सी का हूँ। यहाँ दुबई गवर्नमेंट में नौकरी करता हूँ।” फिर क्या था, दुबई की पार्किंग में खड़े-खड़े बातों का सिलसिला सीधे अपने बसी गाँव तक पहुँच गया। मैंने उनसे कहा कि बसी में वो बावड़ी याद है, जहाँ जलझूलनी ग्यारस पर पूरा गाँव नहाने जाता है, राजाजी आते हैं और पूरा माहौल श्रद्धा और उत्साह से भर जाता है। अजीज भाई बोले, “भाई, मेरा भी बचपन उसी बावड़ी में नहाते हुए निकला है।” फिर उन्होंने बताया कि अब तो हम मियाँ भाईयो को वहाँ जाने ही नहीं देते। उस पल लगा कि इंसान चाहे दुनिया के किसी भी कोने में चला जाए, उसकी यादें और उसकी मिट्टी हमेशा उसके साथ रहती हैं। मैंने भी बस इतना कहा—गलती किसी की होती है, लेकिन भुगतना कई बार किसी और को पड़ता है। दुबई में अचानक बसी के अजीज भाई से हुई ये मुलाकात मेरे लिए सिर्फ एक मुलाकात नहीं थी, अपने गाँव, अपनी मिट्टी और बचपन की यादों से मिलने जैसा एहसास था। बहुत अच्छा लगा भाई से मिलकर। #hansrajathariya #bassi #viral #trending #dubai

Donald Trump’s Elvis Presley comparison goes back to February 2024, when he shared a split-face portrait on Truth Social and asked followers whether they looked alike. He shared the image again in March 2025, so it predates the 2026 midterm buildup.

The humor comes from imagining Republicans stressing over an election while Trump is occupied with his resemblance to a rock-and-roll legend. However, the older Elvis comparison doesn’t establish that he posted it immediately before the midterms, and a possible Republican wipeout is speculation, not a confirmed result.

In sad news, Marcel Johnson, the Michigan husband and dad who invited the Internet along on his cancer journey, has died.

His wife, Taylor Johnson, shared the news on Facebook, writing that he passed on Nov. 2 at 4:45 p.m.: “I lost a whole entire half of me. He fought so hard for so long.”

Marcel and Taylor own Lil Daddy’s Cheesecakes in Mount Clemens, Michigan. After he was diagnosed with stomach cancer, Marcel decided to document his journey via live stream and social videos. For about a year, he documented the appointments, the chemo, the hard conversations with his children and the small wins, and a huge online family formed around him. People donated and rallied to try to get him to City of Hope for possible experimental care.

In early October, he posted a photo from his bed with the caption, “I’m dying.”

Taylor shared that in his final day, the only words he said were “I’m ready to go,” and still he fought to hang on a little longer so they could have more time. She wrote that life “will absolutely never ever be the same.”

His story was everywhere in the internet as he touched so many people. Praying for Taylor, his children and everyone who loved him. Rest in peace, Marcel. 🕊️🖤
