On this furniture the surface is the construction. It receives its strength through the curved surfaces and finally bend edges. This way 3mm thick of aluminium sheets hold-up up to 150kg. 3 petals are interlocking and fold back onto themselves. Nothing is symmetrical.
Henk Meilink crafted the chair in 2019 by hand like one would form a car body. Prior to this Manja van der Worp had calculated its structural integrity.
