Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow are SO common in women who start lifting, especially during midlife.

After training thousands of women, I’ve seen how often these issues can develop when we increase loads too quickly without building the tendon resilience to support the work.

You don’t just need to train your muscles. You need to progressively build your tendons’ capacity to handle the demands of lifting, too.

This is one of the many details I consider when programming for women in perimenopause and postmenopause.

We want to build strength for the long term, not push too hard too soon and end up sidelined.

Shred Happens starts THIS SUNDAY! If you want smart, strategic programming designed specifically for midlife women, join me and some incredible experts as we build stronger, more resilient bodies together.

Comment “SHRED” and I’ll send you the link to join!

P.S. this will be the last challenge I run until May!

BMKG detected the spread of smoke from forest and land fires in Kalimantan reaching Jakarta’s atmosphere on Friday (October 16, 2026). According to BMKG’s satellite imagery at 1 PM local time, smoke was detected across multiple regions in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java, as well as parts of Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua. BMKG emphasized that the imagery only shows the presence and distribution of smoke in the atmosphere, not the actual concentration of pollutants at ground level. The public is therefore advised to take precautionary measures.
