The presence of people changes from one photograph to another in this selection. Sometimes a figure appears small against the surrounding architecture; elsewhere, a moment of movement draws our attention to the person at the centre of the scene. Light, distance and the character of each setting contribute to these differences. Together, the photographs offer glimpses of places Burcu has visited and moments she has noticed along the way. “Photography is a way of discovering moments that often go unnoticed in the flow of everyday life for me.
