#ChristineJackson, 50, has been convicted on four felony counts after prosecutors say she severely neglected her disabled father, #DerekHenix, while serving as his paid caregiver. Police found Henix in March 2025 emaciated in a filthy bedroom, wearing only an adult diaper with a dirty jacket over his head. He was taken to the hospital weighing just 73 pounds, down from approximately 145 pounds when Jackson removed him from a nursing facility in 2023. Doctors diagnosed him with severe dehydration and what they described as “starvation malnutrition.” Henix told authorities he was hungry and thirsty, was generally given only one meal a day, and couldn’t get food himself because the refrigerator was locked. Prosecutors say Jackson later told detectives she locked it because her father was “nasty” and claimed he stopped eating because he was “punishing himself.” His health deteriorated so severely that he later developed gangrene and had his left leg amputated. He died roughly a year after being removed from Jackson’s home. Before his death, prosecutors were able to preserve his testimony in a deposition, which jurors heard during Jackson’s trial. Prosecutors also say Jackson stole her father’s Social Security money, with records showing thousands in ATM withdrawals and spending at restaurants, retail stores, nail salons and through Cash App. She allegedly continued using his Social Security and food benefits even after he was removed from her care. Jackson was convicted of two felony endangerment charges and two counts of grand larceny. She is scheduled to be sentenced December 8 and reportedly faces up to 14 years in prison. Rosa hus och en rosa tjej! On the ocean, nära Olbia, Sardinien.
