What does it take to build a career dressing some of the most influential women in entertainment? For @zerinaakers, it’s been a journey of creativity, hustle, and trusting her own vision. ✨ Comment “BEAUTY” for a link to watch or listen to this episode! This week on the #NakedBeautyPodcast, I sat down with the Emmy Award winning costume designer and celebrity stylist to talk about her journey from interning in the fashion closet at W Magazine to creating some of the most iconic looks in pop culture. We get into the artistry behind Beyoncé’s Black Is King, the realities of making a living as a celebrity stylist, and how her relationship with personal style has evolved in her 40s. Zerina also shares her approach to building a wardrobe that lasts, the beauty lessons passed down from her Panamanian grandmother, and the wellness rituals that keep her grounded. From navigating an ever evolving industry to finding confidence in your own style, this conversation is full of gems on creativity, beauty, and staying true to yourself. “Emmy Award Winning Stylist Zerina Akers on 40+ Skincare and Starting Over” is out now wherever you listen to podcasts! Watch the full conversation on the Naked Beauty YouTube channel.
Dear fellow glasses wearer, I see you. Fogging up every time you sip hot coffee. Hunting for them while they’re on your head. 🙃 So I did something about it. Today was the last day of my glasses. Ever. 🕶️🔥 @theeyefoundation One SMILE procedure, one laser, and the world is in HD. No more specs on my nose. Big thanks to The Eye Foundation, Vadapalani. 3 decades of LASIK experience, and it shows. The surgeons and optometrists held my hand through every step, and the whole thing was smooth and hassle-free. They also have the latest laser tech without burning a hole in your pocket. 💸 So if your glasses are still winning the fight, use my code “AniiTheEye” for 5 to 10% off on Refractive Treatments. 💙 Go on, break up with your specs. 👋👓 #TheEyeFoundation #Vadapalani #SMILEsurgery #LASIK #NoMoreGlasses Chennai
