I’m thrilled to be included in The Academy of American Poets for today’s #poemaday Gratitude to el profe Willie Perdomo, curator for April, dear mentor, and one of the best to ever do it. This poem includes my children and the landscapes of the Bay, and pays homage to the 🐐 American poet #lucilleclifton. I was honored to share an early version a couple years back as part of an interdisciplinary performance with the incredible @_rawdance dancers for Step/Song/Story.
