WRITERS! Do you know that almost all TV shows are sold off pitches, not scripts? WHAAA?! That’s right. So we have to write a pitch in order to sell a show. Let’s do it together.

Today we’re focusing on the first part of your pitch: the Introduction. In this section you want to answer two questions: “Why me?” and “Why now?”

“Why Me?” — why should the network buy this show from you and not any of the other TV writers out there. One of the best hacks to achieve this is start your pitch with a personal anecdote that ties back into the show.

“Why Now?” — why should the network buy this show now? What makes it timely? You can do this through the same personal anecdote, or another hack is to use a newspaper article or perhaps a story like yours went viral recently. Make sure your buyer knows that. BOOM, there’s your “why now.”

This is a lot of information — hit me with any questions you’ve got below! If you want to share your “why me” or your “why now,” I’ll do my best to take a look at as many as I can get to.

And if you find these pitch tips helpful please share share share to spread the word ❤️

I’m 57. Divorced. A mother of three. And I’ve never felt more FREE. ❤️

There was a time when I cared so much about what other people thought. What I wore. How I looked. How I behaved in public. Whether I was being “too much.”

But you know what? I’m DONE making myself smaller to make other people comfortable. ✨

I dance when I feel like dancing. I laugh out loud. I wear what makes me feel beautiful. I do things that my younger self would have been too embarrassed to even try.

And the best part? I genuinely don’t care who’s watching.

Because at 57, I’ve learned something that I wish I had known at 27: Life is way too short to live for other people’s approval.

You don’t owe anyone a quieter, smaller or more “age-appropriate” version of yourself.

You deserve to be happy. To be loud. To be silly. To be YOU. At any age.

So please, stop worrying about what people might think. Most of them are too busy worrying about themselves anyway. 😉

Your happiness matters more than their opinions. ALWAYS. ❤️

You said that two weeks without seeing each other was the limit. Today it’s been four weeks since the worst nightmare of our lives began.

Every step feels heavy. Pushing through the day carrying so much weight quietly inside, when the only wish is to pause the world and find a silence that doesn’t hurt. I’d stay on that ridge forever, right before everything ended, talking about a future that only made sense because you were in it. Now, nothing does, and the only relief comes in the dreams where you’re still alive, even if waking up breaks everything all over again.

Looking past today is impossible. Words will never be enough. I miss you, Ida. We all do.
