Luna, Luna Belle, Lunesy, Looney Toon, Lunatic, Luna Fish… your list of nicknames, as well as your legacy, goes on and on. You gave me 18 years of unconditional love and I have a lifetime worth of memories, from our days in California where you discovered the second floor balcony was not too high to jump from (and gave me a heart attack), to NJ where you ruled the golf course that was your backyard, and finally to Montauk where you took your retirement and nap time very seriously. You would eat every 30 minutes if I allowed it and still stayed slim and trim. You really didn’t care too much for other humans (unless they were feeding you) and single handedly reduced the overall population of mice, birds, chipmunks, and even baby bunnies (😣). You were my shadow, my lap buddy, my snuggle bug, my girl. You were fearless and an absolute badass and your death has left a hole in my heart that will never be repaired. I am so fortunate to have loved you and to have been loved by you. Rest easy my girl, I know you are in your perfect heaven where the sun always shines, food is always available, and everyone knows you’re the boss. I will never stop missing you 💕💕
