FT: Galatasaray 1-4 Barcelona Galatasaray 1-4 Barcelona in Istanbul, and that is a seriously impressive Champions League win. 🔵🔴🔥 This was always going to be one of those difficult European away nights where the atmosphere is intense, the opposition are aggressive and the game can quickly become uncomfortable, and Barcelona actually did fall behind after Batrakov’s opener. But what followed was probably the most impressive part of the performance — they did not panic. Cancelo equalised before half-time, and then Barça completely took over after the break. The second half was ruthless. Fermín put Barcelona ahead, Anthony Gordon made it 3-1 just minutes later, and Adeyemi finished the job with the fourth. Four different scorers, goals from different areas of the team and another reminder of how many attacking solutions this squad has. Even without Raphinha, Barça still looked capable of overwhelming a strong opponent away from home, and players like Gordon and Adeyemi continue to show how quickly they have settled into this team. What also stood out was the mentality. Going behind away at Galatasaray could easily have turned into one of those chaotic Champions League nights, especially with the crowd fully behind them, but Barcelona stayed composed and trusted their football. Once they found the equaliser, the whole game changed. The passing became quicker, the movement sharper and Galatasaray simply could not live with the speed of Barça’s attacks in the second half. And this result feels important beyond just the scoreline. Winning 4-1 away in the Champions League sends a message that Barcelona’s incredible domestic form is translating into Europe as well. They are scoring goals for fun, different players are stepping up every week and even when the game does not start perfectly, they have the confidence to completely turn it around.
