Happy 40th birthday to our dear, sweet Anthony! He’s been at my side for every career high and challenge. He’s cheered me on at my best, and held my hand during my worst. Didn’t learn from Chelsea’s failings - Instagram has decided I need to start writing essays underneath memes now which is something I never thought I’d be doing. If you don’t add enough to posts they can start flagging them as unoriginal and I’ve already had to delete a few because of it. It’s why every account seems to have discovered AI captions recently. Don’t really want to use those so I’m just writing this myself. Hopefully Mark is happy now.
We’re currently on tour with @tdwpband , @156silence and @oversizeband ! And honestly, these people are some of the most wonderful, warm-hearted and talented humans out there. ❤️ But to be honest, after spending almost 6 months on the road this year, the exhaustion is starting to catch up with me. Every single day, I feel it a little more. And sometimes, when touring becomes a routine, finding the energy and motivation to step on stage gets harder. But then we walk on stage, see all your smiles, feel all your emotions, and suddenly you give us all the strength and energy we need. 🥹❤️ Last night, I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for the very first time, and it really stayed with me. The idea that nothing lasts forever, that we’ll never be exactly who we are in this very moment again. That we need to cherish the people we love, embrace every moment and make the most of this life. Even when things get hard, even when we feel like giving up, even when the spark isn’t quite there anymore. Because life is the most precious and unpredictable thing we have. And sometimes we need to remind ourselves how lucky we are to be living it. ❤️ One more week on the road before some very well-deserved time off!
