At drop off YESTERDAY morning , Naima looks at me and asks “mom, what are we doing about Heritage Day tomorrow? Our theme is Mediterranean” Me: 😳👀🙄🫣😖 “weh you mean what are WE going to do? Nai I have an event today, you finish late today. I can’t plan this right now. “ A FEW MOMENTS LATER I call @sophiajonesdesigns Me: “you remember that outfit you did last year for an event? I need it to be adjusted for Nai. She can’t fit. We have zero time today. So let’s just adjust length of veil and dress .” Sophie “Say less. Bring it come” Me: RUN to Savannah Plaza to get more trimmings, drop off dress. Sophie guesstimates length I pick up outfit, get ready for my event, pick up Naima from school, drop her home, head to my event and I message her to go look in my room. Whether she wears it open or closed, I hope it works out today. #terrikarelle @yourjamaicangirl #HeritageDay

(Swipe next for Bahasa Indonesia version >>>) In a recent interview with Nikkei, Seven & i Holdings CEO Steve Dacus revealed plans to expand further into Europe, a market he believed was underrepresented. He also expressed optimism about the Asian market and believed there are opportunities. Until 2030, Seven & I Holdings plans to allocate ¥3.2 trillion (Rp364 billion) for growth investment. Several news outlets also reported that the company is exploring a possible return to emerging Asian markets such as Indonesia (closed in 2017) & India (closed in 2026). In 2009, Modern International brought 7-Eleven to Indonesia. Introduced as a hangout spot, the convenience store chain opened over 150 locations in its first five years. Unfortunately, that success was short-lived, and "Sevel" eventually closed in 2017. Indonesia's convenience store landscape has evolved since then, with Indomaret and Alfamart remaining on top, followed by Family Mart, Circle K, Lawson, etc. New players such as O!Save and K3Mart are also growing with unique selling points. If 7-Eleven returns to Indonesia with the same model (franchising), who should they partner with, Retailnesians? ———— Follow @retailnesia.id for more retail updates! Sayangnya, kisah terse
