In this performance, the invisible bond between a mother and her child takes a visible form.

The child places his hand on his mother’s belly, and the artist tattoos its outline directly onto her skin. Once the hand is removed, its shape remains.

Like the traditional tattoo of a child’s name or portrait, the piece expresses maternal love through a permanent mark. Here, the gesture takes place on the same part of the body where the child once grew, preserving a moment of physical contact between mother and child.

Body Series. N°1 Mom

BUY THIS SHIRT!

For as long as I can remember, I have been supporting @seedandspark because of their constant, equitable support for indie filmmakers. All proceeds from these shirts go directly towards their Patrons Circle Fund, which gives non-application grants to filmmakers. For every $1 from the Patrons Circle Fund, creators raise $35 towards their crowdfunding campaigns! You can be a critical part of supporting filmmakers who don’t always get their stories told and get this shirt today at thisshirtfundsfilms.com (http://thisshirtfundsfilms.com/)
