Grief doesn’t have a “look.” People don’t walk around with signs on their backs telling the world what they’re carrying (although sometimes I wish we did).

So many people are fighting battles silently, even on the days they’re smiling, laughing, and seemingly doing just fine.

Let this be your reminder to treat others with more patience, and more kindness.❤️‍🩹

Wish I can cheer everyone on 🥹 congrats to everyone that ran! Y’all killed it! #chicagomarathon @chimarathon

5 YEARS 🕊️❤️
5 years of missing one of the most important people in my life.
For those who may not know, we lost our oldest daughter, Ariel, in a tragic accident on October 11th, 2021. She was just 7 years old.
I almost didn’t share this today. I never want to take away from anyone’s Thanksgiving or make it seem like I’m seeking attention.
But Ariel deserves to be remembered, talked about, and celebrated. ❤️
She was loud, funny, kind, loving, and full of life. My true mini-me, with the biggest smile and so much love to give.
Losing her was the greatest heartbreak of my life, but it also changed how I choose to live.
She taught me to appreciate the little things, dream bigger, laugh louder, love harder, and spread kindness wherever I go.
Be kind. Love always. Smile. 🌻
Those aren’t just words. They’re a piece of my girl that I carry with me every single day.
Grief doesn’t go away. Some days are still incredibly hard, but I’ve learned that life is too precious to spend it waiting for someday.
So please, LIVE YOUR LIFE. Wear the outfit. Take the trip. Let go of the little things. Tell people you love them.
Today is a gift, and tomorrow is never promised.
This Thanksgiving, I’m forever grateful for the seven beautiful years I had with my girl, even though I’ll always wish for more.
5 years without you, Ariel. A lifetime of loving you. ❤️🦋
I’ll keep spreading your light, my beautiful girl. 🌻
