Cinco de Mayo arrived early for us Museum District Moms! Last week, we enjoyed the relaxing yet festive patio at Candente—a favorite Tex-Mex spot nearby in Montrose. My husband and I love the pork carnitas, the tacos, and the nachos. Our daughter always enjoys the cheese quesadilla. Even our out-of-state family loves it, so we have to pay a visit whenever they are in town. One loves the nachos while another enjoys the tortilla soup. Our neighbors can’t get enough of the fajitas. You get the idea—this place is awesome. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, but I personally love the large, covered patio with fans and a fountain. There is also a lovely courtyard and a private room for events. They have coloring sheets with crayons and a kids’ menu. Oh, and they also have free soft serve, too!
