My father was a fine artist and painter, so art has always been part of my life. In the last few years, we’ve started curating pieces for our home in Miami Beach, making the space reflect who a little of we are.

One piece we recently added is by Gonzalo Fuenmayor. His work is done in charcoal on paper, but what makes it unique is the use of negative space. The light areas you see are actually the shadows in the original flipped in a way that plays with perception.

Art, like health, is about balance. It’s about contrast. And sometimes, it’s about letting the unexpected grow right in the middle of structure.
