On the second day of Navaratri , sprinkling a little peace & elegance onto myself.🤍✨ Sarees made of different yarns fascinate me. The body of this Kanjeevaram saree is linen, with pastel coloured stripes & gold zari, while the border & pallu are silk with gold stripes. The pastel colours, the stripes n linen of the body, to me feels quite contemporary, whereas the mustard colour of the silk n gold zari spells traditional Kanjeevaram. Maa Brahmacharini, the goddess of the 2nd day is the only form of Navadurgas who carries absolutely no weapons. A princess who walked away from the palace into deep forests as an ascetic, to do penance, & achieve her purpose of winning over her love - Lord Shiva. No weapons, armour, army, nor the fierce lion to protect her, but only Kamandalu (water pot) & Japa Mala (prayer beads) is what she carried. So, shakti isn’t only about being on the defensive, or fighting the outside world. It can equally be an inside job. Yorkshire Wildlife Park remains closed after a man climbed into a tiger enclosure and was fatally attacked by the animal on Saturday, 10 October. Emergency services were called to the park, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, at about 1.30pm, after reports of a man climbing down into the enclosure from a walkway.
