Nikki Sixx Advice on Sobriety

Nikki Sixx is best known as the bassist, primary songwriter, and co-founder of the legendary rock band Mötley Crüe. Throughout the 1980s, the band became one of the biggest names in rock music, selling millions of albums and building a reputation for excess both on and off the stage.

Behind the success, Sixx struggled with severe addiction that nearly cost him his life. His substance abuse escalated during the height of his fame, leading to multiple overdoses and a lifestyle that became increasingly destructive. One of the most well-known moments in his story was surviving a near-fatal overdose, an experience that forced him to confront the reality of where his addiction was taking him.

Over time, Sixx chose a different path. Through recovery, accountability, and personal growth, he rebuilt his life and became an advocate for sobriety and second chances. His journey serves as a reminder that no matter how far addiction takes someone, change is possible when they are willing to do the work and seek help.
