Jayvon Irwin

Oh boy, where do I begin? This is the end of a run in my favorite sport. I’ll never forget the moments I had in this sport, all the heartbreak, all the good times, all the records broken and personal bests, and great teammates. All the friends I’ve made have all been worth it. From running in 3rd grade to 13th, it has been the best experience I’ve ever had for anyone considering track. I hope you decide to make the right decision and do track & field even if you’re not fast or able to throw far; the amount of joy and friendship that comes from the sport is all worth it. Thank you, Mahomet-Seymour and Millikin, for helping me be the person I am today. Thank you God for this amazing opportunity. Thank you, track & field. ~ Jayvon Irwin
