Dad, words can’t describe how painful these past few days have been without you. My heart is shattered. I feel like a piece of me left when you did. Though it’s going to be hard there is no doubt in my mind that I will get through this with the strength you taught me to have. I’m so thankful that you no longer have to feel pain and I’m more thankful that you finally get to be with our heavenly father who has been waiting a lifetime for you. The way you fought so hard not just for yourself but for mom, sis, and I inspired me in so many different ways. You went headfirst into the storm and never turned back which shows what kind of person you truly are and always have been. You are the definition of a warrior who has left a legacy behind for all to see and admire. You have impacted so many people’s lives while also being the greatest example for sis and I. You taught me many lessons about life and how I should go about living it as a follower of Christ. Thank you for all the countless laughs and joy you brought to our family. Your humor is unmatched and I will never forget all the precious memories we made together. I’m so incredibly blessed to be able to call you my dad and I’m thankful for the 19 years we got to spend with each other. Even though time with you on this earth is no more, I know in my heart that you will be walking with me through this life every step of the way until my time comes to be with you again. Our relationship is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. I owe you everything dad.
