I initially created Yoru to serve as a tragic irony in Meroko’s canon quest for love. So often we see her falling for men who either don’t share her feelings or whom treat her poorly. So I thought, what if she had a quiet best friend who loved her more than anything, but Meroko is oblivious toward it?
