Happy Father’s day to all the kings who rise before dawn,
Trading rest for responsibility,
Holding hands so small in theirs,
Teaching strength through gentility.
To the voices of reason, calm and firm,
Whose silence speaks volumes,
And whose presence is a shelter

![Sometimes the people who say they love us most are the ones who teach us to stop flying. Love that keeps you small isn’t safety, and needing someone is not the same as being loved by them. The kindest thing you can give anyone is roots to come back to and wings to leave with.
