Is money truly more important than relationships? A compelling perspective from industry veteran Mr. Anil Agarwal on the undeniable reality of enterprise, value creation, and what truly drives growth. #ParthivNeotia #AnilAgarwal #IndianChamberOfCommerce #BusinessLeadership #Entrepreneurship
They told us it would be a difficult year.โ€จDifficult doesnโ€™t begin to describe it.โ€จThey warned us, but nothing, truly nothing, can prepare you for the relentless, uphill battle against cancer. These last fourteen months brought more than their fair share of hardship, and the last five were the hardest of all. And yet, in so many ways, we were fortunate. We had brilliant doctors at Sloan Kettering, one of the top leukemia research centers. Of all the hospitals, he ended up in my city. Iโ€™ll always count that as a blessing, because it gave me extra time with him. We had the privilege of saying goodbye, of saying everything we wanted to say while we still could. So many people never get that. We had time together as a family. It was sad time, but it was time I will always be grateful for. We had time to take in the news and grieve together while he was still here with us. And still, I wish more than anything that weโ€™d had more time. Watching someone you love slowly and painfully fade away carries its own unbearable pain. But that is not how Iโ€™ll remember him. Iโ€™ll remember my dad as he was before he got sick: vibrant, full of life, gregarious, goofy, compassionate, loving. I am so incredibly lucky to have been raised by him. Iโ€™m so lucky to call my dad one of my best friends, and so lucky for the thirty-one wonderful years I got with him. Of all the lives I could have lived, I would choose this one again and again. I am who I am because of my parents, and I have them to thank for my happiness. Dad, Iโ€™ll always treasure our quiet mornings over coffee while playing with Leo, and our dance parties that never seemed to end. Every time I hear Bruce Springsteen or watch the Ravens play, Iโ€™ll think of you. Even leaf blowers will always remind me of you. So much of life reminds me of you. I love you. Iโ€™m so lucky to have so much love for you. Rest in blissful peace, Dad. You lived a good, beautiful life.
