Ranking hinges - S-tier - 45's It's the only s-tier hinge because it does things none of the other hinge variations can do. It trains the gastroc and short head of the hamstrings isometrically You can bias the hamstrings or glutes simply by changing from free weights to bands It's the most stable of all the hinges I more or less just lump the rest of the hinges into a goals tier. Since the 45 can do it all, the other hinges have limitations SLDL - a hamstring hinge with adductor RDL - a glute biased hinge with adductor Deadlifts - quads, glutes, adductor magnus, no hamstrings All hinges are good and part of most all of my programs but I rarely do a program without 45's because they are so versatile
