Having stood above the aircraft coming in to land at Queenstown Airport, barely able to stay upright in gusty winds up to 108km/h (or 67mph) - I have new respect for the pilots navigating windy alley approach 😅

Despite the extreme buffeting, it was great to finally share some minor (1485m) elevation with Amber. Theres barely any decent mountain hikes/tramps I am allowed to do with my bird and sheep trained mountain buddy here in NZ - am respectful of the conservation reasoning, but am sad there are so few places we can go adventuring.

The colours and light today were stunning. No lightroom presets - exactly as shot. You could see clear detail in all directions. And do you know the best thing?
Miles of wild 😎

Oh wow 😮 I wonder if it would be as strict as in Ireland? Because there’s so many places here that don’t allow dogs on trails. 👀

Gosh I had no idea they had such strict dog-walking rules
