Coming soon to Low Miles No Miles Auctions is this 773-Mile 2000 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4! Finished in Toreador Red Metallic with Arizona Beige lower trim over a Tan leather interior, this first-year Excursion is powered by Ford’s massive 6.8L Triton V10 paired with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Yes, 773 miles. Purchased new from Tubbs Brothers in Sandusky, Michigan, this Excursion spent nearly its entire life tucked away in a private automobile collection. According to the surviving business partner of the original owner, the two shared an unusual habit of purchasing brand-new vehicles and storing them inside their company warehouse rather than putting them into regular service. This Excursion was one of them. The original owner reportedly purchased it with approximately 408 miles and placed it into long-term storage near Toledo, Ohio. The collection was maintained over the years, with the vehicles stored indoors in a climate-controlled environment and started regularly. Following the owner’s passing, this Excursion was recently acquired from his estate alongside 19 other vehicles from the same family. More than 26 years later, it retains its original paint, original interior, factory configuration, and even the factory-installed tires. When Ford introduced the Excursion for 2000, subtlety wasn’t part of the equation. Built from the Super Duty platform, it was designed to haul families, tow heavy trailers, travel enormous distances, and be about as unapologetically large as an SUV could be. And that’s exactly what happened to most of them. They became tow rigs, family haulers, road-trip vehicles, and workhorses. They accumulated hundreds of thousands of miles, endured winters, were modified, and in places like Michigan, many eventually succumbed to rust. Somehow, one didnt. Located in Saint Clair, Michigan, this 773-mile 2000 Ford Excursion Limited V10 4x4 is coming soon to Low Miles No Miles Auctions! Taking micro to a new level, had to break out to 0.01g scale! These micro geckos are all Sphaerodactylidae, the family which is home to the smallest reptiles in the world! Sometimes through up close and detailed video it’s hard to understand the smallness of these animals. Hopefully this video gives a better idea to everyone that hasn’t seen them in person! Though these geckos are fast, delicate, and lightweight, they really do make amazing terrarium inhabitants. Since they are so small, it’s easy to make a home for them that gives them plenty of space in relation to their size. Generally, handling should be avoided because of their delicateness and speed. I often describe the experience of keeping them as that of a pet fish: build a beautiful home for them, and enjoy watching them interact within it! The difference is these guys are so much more intelligent and really will look back at you. It’s an unreal experience for an animal that weighs less than a feather to look you up and down. They’re by no means a good first pet reptile, or second, or third... but with a little prior reptile experience and an ability to enjoy a pet without handling, these are easy to care for and extremely rewarding animals to keep. Hopefully this video peaks some interest for those that find these creatures just as captivating as I do!
