At around 8pm one evening, ITE student Naira Maisara Binte Abdullah was about to cycle home when she heard an elderly man asking for help at the bicycle parking area near JEM. The 77-year-old man had lost his way home. When Naira realised he was unsure of the directions she gave him, she decided to accompany him home. She felt bad leaving him alone and thought about how she would feel if her own parents or grandparents were in the same situation. Along the way, she checked his NRIC to confirm his address. The walk took about half an hour. Naira learnt that he had been in the area to renew his passport and had no phone to contact his family. When they arrived, Naira found out from his son-in-law that the family had been searching for him throughout the afternoon. She stayed until the rest of his family returned, relieved to see him reunited with his loved ones. His family later wrote to ITE to commend her. “The elderly man told me he was proud of my parents for raising me to be helpful, and he was grateful I was there to help him. I felt really appreciated and touched by his words.” Well done, Naira! You made #ITEproud! ❤ ITE Singapore #sgfollowsall [Singapore News, Singapore Viral, Singapore Updates, Singapore Community, Singapore Trends]
The person holding everything together is usually the one nobody thinks to check on. 🪨🖤 ⠀ Every family, friend group, and team has one. The one who shows up no matter what. The one who listens, fixes, covers, and carries more than anyone realizes. They don’t complain about it. They just keep holding things up because that’s who they are. ⠀ But loyal people get taken for granted faster than anyone. Their effort starts to feel automatic, and their patience gets mistaken for weakness. People push, take, and test them, assuming they’ll always stay. ⠀ Until one day, they don’t. There’s no big fight or dramatic exit. They just quietly stop caring, stop trying, and let go. And everything they were holding up comes crashing down with them. ⠀ Most people never realize how much weight someone was carrying until the day they finally let it fall. ⠀ Follow @Wealth to learn valuable advice every time you open Instagram. ⭐ ⠀ Media: A Tale of Momentum & Inertia ⠀ #Wealth #Loyalty #Respect #Mindset #LifeLessons

[📸thrd/siwiajaaaaaaasih]
SENIOR SPOTLIGHT SOPHIE MARKS Our next senior is Sophie Marks! Sophie has been playing volleyball for 12 years and dominates as our outside hitter, carrying our team with her incredible talent. Her favorite memory is scoring the winning kill in last year’s CCS semifinals to send the team to the CCS finals. 🏆 Sophie is a force to be reckoned with on the court, casually averaging double-digit kills per game and bouncing the ball TEN feet against any opponent. 💥 As our only senior committed to play in college, Sophie’s dedication, leadership, and INSANE abilities make her an inspiration to every player who gets to play with her. As a captain, Sophie leads our team by example, bringing out the best in all of us. Besides her remarkable skills, we will miss her compassion and ability to connect with any player. We are so grateful for all that she has contributed to the program and are so excited to see her continue volleyball at the next level! 💪🥳🥳 Come support Sophie and the rest of our seniors on Oct. 27th for Senior Night! 🎉🎉
