Kacey Musgraves isn’t letting her critics get the last word. On Monday, the country star fired back at Kristi Noem, the former Homeland Security secretary and current U.S. special envoy, after Noem took a swipe at Musgraves for welcoming Texas Senate candidate James Talarico to one of her concerts over the weekend. “I don’t think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it,” Musgraves wrote on X, delivering a pointed jab at Noem’s controversial account of killing her family dog. See more at the link in bio.

28 years of Without You I’m Nothing 🖤 Go on, try picking just ONE song from this album. I dare you! And If you could only quote one line, which would it be? Placebo’s second studio album, ‘Without You I’m Nothing’, a timeless alternative rock classic, was released on 12 October 1998 and reached No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart. If Placebo's self-titled debut was the night before, Without You I'm Nothing is the morning after. Whereas their first singles swaggered with libidinous confidence, the songs on Without You reek of self-loathing, guilt, and shame. “By the time that we came off tour, I was in such a fragile emotional state that I ended up on anti-depressants. I was just fucked up. I'd taken my soul through the blender, and I really just didn't know who I was anymore. I was disgusted with myself.” But adversity has always been an engine of creativity. After coming off the road, the band locked themselves into a subterranean room with no windows for two months and wrote the new record. “We had to do a lot of soul-searching. We had to really look inside of ourselves and... realise what we had done. I think there's a lot of guilt on that record, and it talks about a few relationships that I had which I think that I basically did my best to ruin but I didn't know any better at the time. It's a very heartbroken album.” Looking back at Without You I'm Nothing 28 years later, the album was a major building block in shaping Placebo into the band we know today. The iconic yellow cover of WYIN was designed by English photographer Corinne Day. It features sisters Sarah and Sally sitting at a table, gazing down. The soft light filtering through the curtains creates a warm yellow hue that defines the album's aesthetic. #placebo #placeboworld #brianmolko #90s #alternativerock @placeboworld
