Kōpū opens in 5 days! And we cannot wait to have these wonderful wāhine on The Court Theatre stage.
A bit of history! Kōpū was originally commissioned by Auckland Arts Festival for presentation in 2022. Following COVID delays the piece was workshopped over 2021-2022 and premiered in May 2023 by Te Pou Theatre. Kōpū was then presented by Kia Mau Festival in June 2023 with support from Creative New Zealand. The show has since had a return season at Te Pou Theatre and toured to other theatres and festivals across Aotearoa New Zealand.
And The Court Theatre is lucky enough to be the next on the list!
