The Telling Time

Our single “New Bands” is out in the world today. This is our favorite song we’ve ever put out both musically and lyrically and draws inspiration from bands we love such as Title Fight, Fiddlehead, and other bands you might see in the tickets on the cover.

As the last part in what can be called a trilogy of songs (two of which are on our first EP for those wondering), “New Bands” seeks to tell the story of a relationship distilled through two people’s love for music, all taking place in the middle of a venue as a show goes on.

It was an emotional one to write and record, so hoping that all of the feelings come across. There’s a lot more to say about this track but as always we hope you can relate to it and enjoy it.

Produced by @christeti over at @silverbulletstudios, this song came to life just in the way we wanted it to. Chris’ patience, care, and good sense of humor helped fuel these sessions and make the track what it became.

The cover art was done by @i.posner who made an idea I had for a long time come to life. All of these tickets were plucked from my very real ticket book that I keep (remember hard tickets?) and were chosen because of the significance they had in relation to the song. He did an amazing job that we all love.
