Amy was self-destructive as shit. AND, she was a FORCE of nature. A living contradiction (we’re still in the season of duality, what did you expect?).

Last week, while re-listening to “Back to Black, I was struck by how much she allowed herself to come apart in song— and realized that it was this very reason why so many of us loved her music.

At this point in human evolution, the robots can do it smarter and quicker than 99% of us mere mortals. While this is a point of both appreciation and frustration, I’m coming to terms with the increasing gold of leaning into all the weird and wonderful parts of being human; of how being raw and real is currency and freedom.

In the spirit of real— slide 6 😭

In the spirit of raw— more in my Substack 😘

Love Amy and this write up so much. She was so inspiring when it came to emotional vulnerability. I saw the movie “Back to Black” last year, it was lackluster but nothing about her life was. 🖤

Ugh. Love this. The rawness and honesty is what makes art so precious 🥹
