An all-time scream for Halloween 👻 The last birb in our Shrieks & Beaks series is the screaming piha. If you've ever walked by our Hummingbird and Songbird habitat during one of your Zoo visits, odds are good you've heard this bird. It's call is one of the loudest bird sounds in the world, reaching up to 116 decibels. That's similar to a rock concert or a chainsaw. That’s why it earns the title of most terrifying bird in our lineup (for your eardrums). #sandiegozoo #screamingpiha #halloween #throwback

For All Saints’ Day, we each wrote messages to Bessa and Abuelo before going to light candles at their resting places. The cemetery was beautiful. So many lights, so much love, so many people remembering the ones they miss. Beautiful, uet so heartbreaking. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that my little girl is there. That she is the reason we light candles. That all this love has nowhere to go but towards her. Do you have a similar tradition where you live, or do you remember your loved ones in a different way? 🕯️ Who did you light a candle for this year? Let’s remember them together. Share their names in the comments. Let’s fill this space with love and make sure they are remembered. 💜 Forever loved. Forever missed. 💜🕊️ #rememberthem #momof12 #childloss #suddenloss #grief @mybabydolls

LEARJET CRASHES INTO PALM BEACH COUNTY MOBILE HOME PARK The FAA says a Learjet 60 crashed near Cresthaven in Greenacres at 12:50 PM today, with nine people on board. The jet departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, bound for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue has declared a mass casualty incident. Multiple fatalities have been reported, but officials have not released a count or the conditions of the nine on board, or whether anyone on the ground was hurt. Military Trail is closed in both directions between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North until further notice, per the Sheriff's Office. Avoid the area. This dashcam video is circulating on social media from a driver in the area. Its source remains unverified, but the location, timing and fireball shown match up with official reports from the area this afternoon. The FAA and NTSB will investigate, with the NTSB in charge. Information is preliminary and subject to change.
