thank you, hokes bluff softball, for an incredible four years. thank you to my coaches for never giving up on me, even when i wasn’t at my best. thank you to my teammates and friends for your constant encouragement and support.
i’m especially grateful to my parents for instilling in me the mindset to push myself and always strive to be better. i love you both deeply, and i’m forever thankful for everything you’ve done to support me.
thank you to Jesus for carrying me through the hard times, for healing my injuries, and for giving me a strong mental mindset. thank you for blessing me with an amazing team every single year and for allowing me to handle every play and every at bat with confidence and grace, knowing you were always with me through it all.
when i injured my knee again last fall, i feared i’d never step back on a dirt field. but i fought hard, came back stronger, and got to finish this season playing for my girls, my team, and my school.
during that time i was blessed with the opportunity to continue my journey to play college softball at shorter university. i’m forever thankful for the memories made at hokes bluff and grateful for the next chapter ahead.
and to that little girl in the last picture, the one who dreamed of this her whole life, you did it. i’ll always play for her.
