Happy 8th Anniversary to this beautiful young lady. She continues to amaze me with what she’s able to accomplish while taking care of the kids and myself much of the time. You’ve made me a better man and father and I thank you for it. It’s truly awe inspiring to see@how much you care for others even when you don’t seem to have anything left to give. I love and look forward to 50 more years!

Can’t believe how much (positive!) feedback is in my DMs after going makeup free on air. It was actually an accident. I forgot my makeup bag. And instead of wasting time with a dash to Chemist Warehouse or Mecca across the road I thought.. well.. I can still do my job well without it. Maybe people won’t even notice. Thank you @laughlinesproject for inspiring me. For someone who’s always been very conscious about their skin I never thought I would be comfortable doing this but I think we need to remember we hold a lot more value than our outward appearance. Also, I’ll never be as gorgeous as @maggieraworth_9 who did it first but it’s nothing a bit of good lighting can’t fix!!
Karl Bushby was a 29-year-old ex-paratrooper when he walked away from the home to a Royal Air Force base near Oxford and caught a flight to South America. He returned as a 57-year-old — softer, grayer and weathered, but far more worldly. “They say it takes a village but literally it took a world to get me here,” Bushby said. “The kindness of strangers, so many, from individuals to nation states to get me back here today. I didn’t do this alone. There was a big team. The biggest team. Earth.” Bushby set out from Punta Arenas, Chile, on Nov. 1, 1998, and has walked 31,000 miles across four continents and 30 countries to get home. He navigated shifting ice over the Bering Strait and swam across the Caspian Sea and English Channel to avoid taking a boat or plane — or any transport — to propel him forward.
