One day, they’ll say something you always said. Sing a song you sang at bedtime. Hold their babies the way you held them.

And pieces of these ordinary days will keep living through them.

You ever start cleaning and accidentally decide your family has too many belongings, hobbies, and interests?

Because why am I dusting something nobody likes, storing something nobody uses, and stepping over something nobody claims?

“But we might need that.”

Then you better need it before I finish this drink. 😂
