Yuliy Ganf was a leading Ukrainian-Russian political cartoonist for Krokodil magazine. His 1953 illustration, “In America - At This Restaurant Only One Person Is Served,” sharply critiqued Western priorities. The artwork depicts waiters representing America, Britain, France, and West Germany shoveling cash entirely toward a soldier labeled “War.” Meanwhile, tables for “Education,” “Health Care,” and “Art” are completely ignored, showing how military budgets overshadow public needs.
Kenyan hairdresser and makeup artist Jony the Hairdresser, whose real name is John Mokuna Mungai, has revealed that he uses ladies’ washrooms because his dressing, appearance and soft voice make people mistake him for a lady. Speaking during an interview with Kwambox on Thursday, October 22, Jony explained that he has little facial hair and does not have a deep voice, making him look more feminine. He also revealed that whenever he visits clubs, he informs bouncers and staff that he is a man to avoid misunderstandings, especially when using the ladies’ washroom. He said he learnt to take these precautions after a past experience at a club, adding that people who dress differently should be careful about how they behave in public.

2 years ago I had several kidney complications (yes, not due to protein, creatine or whey protein) due to more than 10 years of being a type 1 diabetic. This condition is also called “diabetic nephropathy”. Due to recovery from surgery and medications along with strict bed rest, I had lost almost 2 years of gym progress in a matter of weeks. I felt depressed and fatigued and stopped feeling like myself altogether. There were times where I would look in the mirror and ask myself if I was “Rohin” because I placed a lot of importance on my looks and my appearance. Because of this challenge, I realised the harsh reality that a lot of people you trusted are not there for you when you need them the most. I thereby started focusing on what made me feel the best. Improving my family relationships, focusing on the people who matter, achieving my goals and staying busy with my purpose and ultimately staying happy became the goal for me. Since June 2024 I have lost almost 10 kgs and have added muscle mass while lean gaining since February this year. Many people say that being a diabetic means that you will never be able to build a good physique (even doctors), but, the result speaks for itself. What helped me through my journey: 1. Food habits: The main focus should be on the eating food that helps you stay focused mentally and helps you push you to your limits physically in whichever way you prefer. This manages your blood sugar levels so there are no blood sugar spikes and falls so your energy levels remain stable throughout the day. And of course, make sure you hit your protein goals. 2. Sleep: Sleep is non negotiable because sleep controls your cortisol and your mood. Even if you workout everyday, if you get poor sleep it’s bound to cause problems in your recovery. 3. Perseverance: Consistency and perseverance. My motto is perseverance because if you can go through any and all challenges with utmost patience and consistency, you can achieve anything. Keep reminding yourself why you started this journey and keep going. More coming soon. #gangstaywinnin #motivational #gym #gymmotıvatıon #fitness
